Through storytelling, we are familiar with characters like the hero, the villain, the love interest, and the wise old man. Carl Jung framed these archetypes as ‘primordial images', which are connected to the collective unconscious running through our history and culture, and reflect deeper spiritual truths about our nature, helping guide us through our own psychological and spiritual journeys.
